Quran is our Imam (Guide)

To an Agakhani (former Sunni) and his teacher, both of whom had been sending several emails trying to convince that Aga Khan is the Imam Mubeen: 

Walaikumsalam. Thank you very much to both you and ZK for repeated efforts to inform and convince me of your beliefs. Even though I do not agree with your basic premise, I will not be bold enough to debate it as Allah has said to leave aside the matter of sects [Quran 6:159]. 

As the Book of Moses was the Imam earlier, so we believe that the Quran is our Imam: 

وَمِن قَبْلِهِ كِتَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِمَامًا وَرَحْمَةً وَهَٰذَا كِتَابٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّسَانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّيُنذِرَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ

[Quran 46:12] And before it (was the) Scripture (of) Musa (as) a guide and a mercy. And this (is) a Book confirming, (in) language Arabic to warn those who do wrong and glad tidings for the good-doers.  [http://islamawakened.com/quran/46/12/] 

Allah knows best who is guided, and who are sincerely searching for the truth and guidance, and in sha Allah they will be granted guidance, and their efforts will be appreciated.
