THe Quran introduces corruption as one of the main issues with the hypocrites. Looking it up in the corpus.quran.com website:
The triliteral root fā sīn dāl (ف س د) occurs 50 times in the Quran, in four derived forms:
- three times as the form I verb fasadati (فَسَدَتِ)
- 15 times as the form IV verb afsadu (أَفْسَدُ)
- 11 times as the noun fasād (فَسَاد)
- 21 times as the form IV active participle muf'sid (مُفْسِد)
...
So, studying them in the context the word is mentioned:
The Cow (2:250-251)
2:250
And when they went forth to [face] Goliath and his soldiers, they said, "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
— Saheeh International
And when they faced Jālūt and his troops, they said: “Our Lord, pour out endurance on us, make firm our feet and help us against the disbelieving people.”
— T. Usmani
And when they went into the field against Goliath and his hosts they said: Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance, make our foothold sure, and give us help against the disbelieving folk.
— M. Pickthall
When they advanced to meet Goliath and his forces, they prayed: "Our Lord! Pour out constancy on us and make our steps firm: Help us against those that reject faith."
— A. Yusuf Ali
— Maulana Wahiduddin Khan
2:251
So they defeated them by permission of Allāh, and David killed Goliath, and Allāh gave him the kingship and wisdom [i.e., prophethood] and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for Allāh checking [some] people by means of others, the earth would have been corrupted, but Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the worlds.
— Saheeh International
So, they defeated them by the will of Allah, and Dāwūd (David) killed Jālūt, and Allah gave him the kingdom and the wisdom and taught him what He willed. Had Allah not been pushing back some people by means of others, the earth would have been spoiled. But Allah is All-Gracious to all the worlds.
— T. Usmani
So they routed them by Allah's leave and David slew Goliath; and Allah gave him the kingdom and wisdom, and taught him of that which He willeth. And if Allah had not repelled some men by others the earth would have been corrupted. But Allah is a Lord of Kindness to (His) creatures.
— M. Pickthall
By Allah's will they routed them; and David slew Goliath; and Allah gave him power and wisdom and taught him whatever (else) He willed. And did not Allah Check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief: But Allah is full of bounty to all the worlds.
— A. Yusuf Ali
— Maulana Wahiduddin Khan
The Bani Israel went to war with the Philistines soon after the death of Moses (Musa ...). Among the Philistines was a giant known as 'Jalut'. David (Dawood ...), the one who later became King of the Bani Israel, and Khalifa of the Earth, was able to kill Jalut. The reason to kill Jalut and war with the Philistines was to contain the corruption they were causing upon the Earth.

The Prophets (21:21-22)
21:21
Or have they [i.e., men] taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]?
— Saheeh International
Or have they adopted gods from the earth, who raise the dead?
— T. Usmani
Or have they chosen gods from the earth who raise the dead?
— M. Pickthall
Or have they taken (for worship) gods from the earth who can raise (the dead)?
— A. Yusuf Ali
— Maulana Wahiduddin Khan
21:22
Had there been within them [i.e., the heavens and earth] gods besides Allāh, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allāh, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
— Saheeh International
Had there been gods beside Allah, in the heavens and the earth, both of them would have fallen in disorder. So pure is Allah, the Lord of the Throne, from what they describe.
— T. Usmani
If there were therein gods beside Allah, then verily both (the heavens and the earth) had been disordered. Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, from all that they ascribe (unto Him).
— M. Pickthall
If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!
— A. Yusuf Ali
— Maulana Wahiduddin Khan
Creation, and every one in it, needs to be governed. If there were more than one God, each god would govern as per his will. That would result in corruption, disorder, confusion, ruin. As every organisation and every government can have only one head, thus logically the entire creation of heavens and earth and have only one God, who creates, directs, and governs creation. Life and death are part of the grand scheme of things. Trying to cheat death is futile. Those who try to live longer or try to become immortal cannot achieve their desire to do so, in this dunya. Immortality is decreed for the Hereafter (alakhirah). Adam and his wife tried to achieve it, and suffered the consequences of their act of disobedience.

The Believers (23:71)
But if the Truth [i.e., Allāh] had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message,[1] but they, from their message, are turning away.
— Saheeh International
[1]Or 'reminder.'
And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away.
— M. Pickthall
If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition.
— A. Yusuf Ali
— Maulana Wahiduddin Khan
The trouble with humans is that they do not heed to their Scriptures nor to the Messengers of Allah . If they were to believe and put their trust in Allah , they would succeed.
Allah has created death and life to test us in this dunya. Death is not a disease that can be cured. Yet, most people would like to make it go away. There is a lot of futile research going into evading death, and much money is being put into it, some even having their remains frozen till such a time as technology catches up.
Everyone and everything has a point and place in spacetime. In this dunya, it is meant to be temporary, because this dunya is temporary. In the akhirah, it is meant to be permanent, as the akhirah is meant to be permanent.
