Qadiani or Muslim

An atheist's objection about Knowledge, Islam and being Qadiani in Pakistan: 
If Seeking knowledge is encouraged it's very strange that although Muslims make up 23% of the world's population since 1900 only one Muslim has won a Nobel Prize in science, Ahmed Zewail won for chemistry in 1999.  Abdus Salam won for physics in 1979 and his tombstone said "First Muslim Nobel Laureate", but the Pakistani government officially decreed that Ahmed Zewail was NOT a Muslim and ordered that the word "Muslim" be erased from his tombstone. 

Answer: A number of times the Qadiani sect/religion has been referred to in various conversations pertaining to Islam in this list. Just for clarity, let me explain it with the Judaism-Christianity analogy. Both believe Moses to be a prophet of God. Both also believe that the Torah/Old Testament is a scripture. Christians believe in Jesus where as Jews don't. Christians believe in the gospels while the Jews don't. Christians do not call themselves Jews, nor is there any problem with that. 

Similarly, the Qadiani sect/religion believes in Muhammad and the Quran, yet they also believe in another latter prophet. They are free to practice their religion. its just that a law was passed that they should not call themselves Muslims.  By the way, Dr Abdus Salam was a Pakistani, and Ahmed Zewail of Egyptian origin. 

Will Christians go to heaven with Muslims?

Question: Will Christians go to heaven with Muslims?
Answer: As far as I understand the Holy Quran, all true believers will go to Heaven, inshAllah, while all who know in their hearts the truth, yet reject, will go to Hell. The rest to whom it is not clear, and they are still searching, sifting religions and seeking the truth, I don't know. But Allah knows what is in the hearts, and He is the best judge. He gives life and food and clothing and the comforts of this world in varying amounts to all, but guidance is given only to those who seek. We humans have been endowed with free-will, and Allah wants us to acknowledge and worship Him without any compulsion. That is why, guidance is for only those who seek it. Allah sent many prophets throughout the ages to inform, guide, give glad tidings and warn humanity. The source and the message was always the same. In the Quran, Allah speaks very highly of some Jews and Christians, informing us of how pious they are. Yet, the Quran is also replete with examples of how people throughout the ages have rejected the message, how the message has been changed/modified/corrupted, and what are the pitfalls that one must be careful of.
Daily, in our prayers, we recite the opening passage of the Quran (Surah Fateha) in which we pray for guidance and to be protected from following the path of those earn the wrath of God or who go astray.

Being labelled a muslim/ christian/ jew/ hindu or anything else, or being born in a certain religion doesn't really seem to make any difference. The basic test is of the individual heart and soul. Those who truly believe, actively seek guidance, and try to live their life according to the guidance, in piety, ever aware of the presence of God, and the surety of returning to Him, of the Judgement and the Hereafter, will go to Heaven as that is the promise of God.
Holy Quran 5:119 Allah saith: This is a day in which their truthfulness profiteth the truthful, for theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they are secure for ever, Allah taking pleasure in them and they in Him. That is the great triumph.

Why couldn't God protect the earlier scriptures?

Question: If you had been born into a Jewish or Christian family and culture, the odds are that you would now be a follower of one of those religions. Why do you think that an all knowing God went to the trouble of creating those religions, if he knew they would become corrupted and need to be replaced ? How come 'He' was able to perfectly protect the contents of the Holy Quran, but not able to protect the contents of the Hebrew Scriptures, or the New Testament ?I'm still trying to get my head around the links you gave me, I will try to respond soonish.... honest !!!!

Answer: Probably so, but who knows. All I can say is that I have read the Quran, Bible and Torah, and the Quran seems to stand the test of truth and accuracy.
It is not that God could not protect the earlier scriptures, rather he chose not to. Just like he left choice of religion to our free-will, he allowed us to do what we wanted with the scriptures as well. Do keep in mind that God had been sending prophets and revealing scriptures ever since man has been accountable. But since the Quran was meant to be the last and final scripture, and no prophet is to come now, we humans needed something from God to guide us. For this purpose, God guaranteed that this book will not suffer change!
Also, God did not create so many religions. His basic message has always been the same. Humans have made changes. A reading of the text of most world religions readily shows that. Where people have not been able to make enough changes in the original text, they have cleverly written/attributed books to other ‘holy’ men and say that now it is okay to follow this instead of what’s written in the original text.
