No Compulsion in Religion

In a debate on the meaning of Quran 2:256 (... no compulsion in religion... )

(There is) no compulsion in the religion. Surely has become distinct the right (path) from the wrong. Then whoever disbelieves in false deities and believes in Allah, then surely he grasped the handhold - [the] firm, (which) not (will) break [for it]. And Allah (is) All-Hearing, All-Knowing. To me Quran 2:256 means:
1) there is no compulsion on anyone in this temporal world to believe in Allah and submit to His guidance
2) the right way has been clearly detailed in the scripture, which include the warnings and glad tidings of the eternal consequences of the choices made in this temporal world
3) though people will not be compelled, in this world, by Allah to believe, people are free to willfully reject the wrong ways if they will to reject it
4) whoever willfully rejects the wrong, and believes in Allah, has made the best choice - as Allah can and will take care of those who believe in Him, as He is constantly and fully aware, as explained in the prior verse:
Allah - (there is) no God except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all that exists. Not overtakes Him slumber [and] not sleep. To Him (belongs) what(ever) (is) in the heavens and what(ever) (is) in the earth. Who (is) the one who can intercede with Him except by He knows what (is) before them and what (is) behind them. And not they encompass anything of His Knowledge except [of] what He willed. Extends His Throne (to) the heavens and the earth. And not tires Him (the) guarding of both of them. And He (is) the Most High, the Most Great. [http://islamawakened.com/quran/2/255/ ]

Allah does not need us. He can replace us with another set of people or another creation to dwell in His Gardens [jannaat] for eternity. It is Allah's Kindness (rahmat) that even though we keep erring, He keeps inviting us to forgiveness and eternal bliss. He knows that some of us are simply not worthy of entering His Gardens. He has given us a chance in this world to prove why we should be considered trustworthy of His Gardens. However, the choice is ours, and the burden to prove it is also upon us! He has blessed us with this life precisely for us to prove our worthiness for the immortality, youth and perpetual joy that we desire and pursue. It's a mirage in this world, but will be a reality in the Gardens which contain that which gives us life!
